
BTS Jimin's self-composed song "Promise" celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a wave of celebration from fans around the world, topping the worldwide charts and trending in real-time in 41 countries.
On the 31st, six keywords commemorating the 2nd anniversary of "Promise," including the hashtag (#) "2YearsWithPromise," "Congratulations on the 2nd anniversary of Promise," and "Congratulations_on_the_2nd_anniversary_of_Promise," topped the worldwide charts and real-time trends in over 41 countries, including Korea, the United States, Australia, Germany, France, and India.

The World Music Awards (WORLDMUSICAWARD) reported that the hashtag for the 2nd anniversary of "Promise" topped the global real-time trending charts, saying, "Two years later, it's still the most streamed Korean song on SoundCloud."
The official SoundCloud account also celebrated the 2nd anniversary of "Promise" with fans, saying, "Amazing milestones! Happy anniversary."

Jimin released a surprise gift for his fans, "Promise," on December 31, 2018, saying, "You've all been waiting for a long time, right? I'm finally releasing my self-composed song. It's a song for me, but it's also a song for you."

"Promise" surpassed 1 million streams in just 30 minutes of its release, easily beating Billboard's male artist Drake's "Duppy Freestyle" with 4.9 million streams, nearly doubling it to 8.5 million, setting a new SoundCloud record for the most streams in 24 hours. This debut record remains unbroken to this day, making Jimin the protagonist of SoundCloud's greatest records.
