YouTube is an online video and audio sharing and social media platform owned by Google. It is the second-most visited website in the world, behind Google, and has one billion monthly users who watch more than one billion hours of videos each day.

These are some of the things users can do on YouTube:
- search for and watch videos or listen to audios
- create a personal YouTube channel
- upload videos or audios to channel
- like, comment, and share content
- create playlists

To target different segments, YouTube developed different plans people can subscribe to or get a free trial for:

1. YouTube Premium
3. YouTube TV
4. YouTube Kids

YouTube Premium subscription allows a user to watch videos without advertisements, download videos and playlists on mobile device for offline viewing, continue playing videos or audios on mobile device in the background, and subscribe to YouTube Music Premium without cost. YouTube Premium offers apply across YouTube, YouTube Kids and YouTube Music.

Subscribe to YouTube Premium or make use of its free trial.

Platforms

YouTube can be accessed via website or app on Apple TV, iOS, Android, Wii video game consoles, Xbox Live, Roku, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Availability

The interface of the website is available with localized versions in 104 countries, one territory (Hong Kong) and a worldwide version.

Here are the countries and regions YouTube Premium is available in.

The Importance of Streaming on YouTube

Streaming on YouTube is important for IFPI, RIAA, and global and country music charts, including Billboard and UK Official Charts.

According to Nielsen's Mid-Year 2020 Report:
1. Stream Equivalent Albums (SEAs)
- 1,250 streams from a premium platform = 1 album/unit sale
- 3,750 streams from an ad-supported platform = 1 album/unit sale
2. Stream Equivalent Songs (SES)
- 125 streams from a premium platform = 1 song unit
- 375 streams from an ad-supported platform = 1 song unit.

Moreover, trending and playlists on YouTube provide exposure to a bigger audience outside of an artist's fanbase.

How to Subscribe to YouTube Premium

1. Sign in to your account via web player or app.
2. Go to the YouTube Premium page.
3. Tap "Try it free".
4. Accomplish the required information: card number, cardholder name, billing address. Then tap "BUY".

How to Stream on YouTube

1. Open the YouTube app or web player.
2. Sign in with your Google account.
3. Search up the audio/video you want to focus on (i.e., Jimin Set Me Free Pt 2).
4. Select the audio/video.
5. Play the audio/video at normal speed.
6. Like it by tapping the thumbs up.
7. Leave nice comments. Don't spam and copy-paste yourself or others.
8. Watch/listen to two or three other audios or videos. We suggest choosing something related to Jimin and/or "Set Me Free Pt. 2" to signal the demand for Jimin and the song in the algorithm.
9. Repeat Steps 3 to 5. As much as possible, search up the song instead of using playlists especially for the first two weeks.
10. You can use playlists when you're sleeping as that is when you cannot do manual search.
11. Use a different account per device.
12. Use different WiFi or mobile networks once in a while.

YouTube uses an automated process to determine which content they should display on their recommendations and trending lists. Determining the amount of "valid" streams is also based on an automated process, the algorithm. Just as in any other social networking site, this information is not made public. However, we can do some things to possibly not get our streams filtered out at a higher rate, such as, avoiding bot-like and spam behaviors.

The Importance of Sharing the Audio/Video

Sharing the song is a priority. Jimin himself has expressed his desire for their works to reach more people. How should we share his work?

1. Share the link to the audio/video without using shortened links (i.e., bitly).
2. Post the audio/video link as a song of its own.
3. Share and embed it on social media, messaging platforms, websites, and portals.
4. Make sure that autoplay is turned off when you embed. Streams from autoplayed videos get filtered out.
5. Share the link or the QR code of the song in your advertisements and projects.

YouTube content that have great engagement are more likely to land on the top results of YouTube Trending, YouTube search and Google search.

Moreover, sharing an audio/video will impact its charting on YouTube's Popular Videos globally and in countries and territories. This charting helps promote the song, and gives it wider reach.

Introducing an audio or video of a song to more listeners impacts not only streaming numbers and charting. By actively promoting Jimin's song, you are helping increase the level of awareness, interest, engagement, and loyalty towards the song, Jimin's other works, and Jimin himself among fans, non-fans, and/or the general public. For example, sharing an amazing song can convert a non-fan into a casual fan, or a casual fan into a more passionate fan. Such exposure may also build or strengthen positive associations (thoughts, impressions, or beliefs of the viewer or listener) towards Jimin and his artistry.

The Importance of Liking and Commenting on the Audio/Video

Always like and comment on Jimin content.  These count as engagement. Engagement influence YouTube recommendations and trending.

However, never spam the comments section. Doing too many activities, including comments, within a short amount of time can be identified as bot-like or spam. Once you are marked as a bot or spam, your streams can get deleted.

Tips and Reminders

1. Use YouTube Premium or its discount and free trial offers.
2. Make sure to stay logged in to your account while streaming.
3. Like the audio/video.
4. Stream the original, remixes, and instrumentals of the music audio/video. Their streams will count towards the Billboard chart.
5. Consume official content that use the song. These will count towards Billboard. Don't stream unofficial content such as fanmade lyrics videos and unofficial playlists.
6. Watch and listen to audio/video at normal speed.
7. Don't watch on incognito mode.
8. Don't mute. You may use earphones.
9. Don't loop.
10. Turn off autoplay.
11. Don't use a playlist for the first month, especially on the first day and the first week.
12. Avoid spam and bot-like behaviors. Stream like a human. Your streams can get deleted once you get marked as bot or spam.
- Search the song manually.
- Don't stream the audio/video from multiple tabs of the same browser at the same time.
- Don't stream the audio/video from multiple browsers and/or app using the same account at the same time.
- Play other content in between streaming the same audio/video. You can refer to the links at the bottom of this page.

- Don't spam the comments section.
- Don't copy-paste your and other people's comments.
- Don't post too many emojis.
13. To rewatch or re-listen to an audio/video, you may press the replay button. However, use it very sparingly. We recommend searching up the audio or video manually.
14. Don't delete your YouTube watch history and browser history.
15. Streams may seem to freeze at times. Continue streaming. YouTube will update later.
16. If you are a YouTube Premium user, you may also stream offline and stream downloaded songs. These offline streams will be counted when you go online. Make sure you go online hours before the day and the week end.
17.  You can embed an audio/video. However, make sure that autoplay is turned off. Streams from audios/videos on autoplay will be filtered out.

19. Use online (i.e., Instagram ad) and on-ground projects (i.e., merch, cafe, exhibit, mural) to promote the track by including the link and/or the QR code to the track.
20. If you can, change your internet connection once in a while while streaming (i.e., wifi to data, data to wifi, wifi to another wifi).
