iTunes

0

iTunes is a Apple Inc.'s software program that acts as a media player, media library, mobile device management utility, and the Apple client app for iTunes Store.

These are some of the things users can do on iTunes:
- purchase, play, download, organize digital multimedia
- search for, listen to, and upload music, podcast and other audio content
- follow and create playlists
- like and share content
- see recommended and officially curated songs

The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc.

Apple has two platforms:
iTunes: The music purchasing service; songs that are bought on iTunes contribute to the sales charts. It is pre-installed with all Apple devices; and can be installed in other devices through this link.

Platforms

iOS, Mas OS, Windows

Availability

The iTunes Store is available on most Apple devices, including Mac (via Music app), iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, as well as on Windows (inside iTunes). Video purchases from the iTunes Store are viewable on the Apple TV app on Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices and certain smart televisions.

Apple Music: The music streaming service; streams from songs played on Apple Music contribute to domestic charts. On subscribing to Apple Music, one can add music and music videos to the music library from the Apple Music catalog.

To access iTunes and Apple Music, all Apple users need an Apple ID account.

Content on an iPod or iOS device is managed via Apple’s iTunes software application, which is a free download from Apple’s web site. However, iTunes is more than just a means of loading your device. It is in fact an entire media management system that is designed to organize and catalog your music, audiobooks, videos, podcasts, and even handle your iBooks and iOS applications. In fact, iTunes doesn’t even require that the user have an iPod or other Apple media device, and there are people out there who choose to use iTunes simply as their media management application.

Tips

1. Gifting songs or albums do not count towards the Billboard charts.
2. If you want to buy more, please use a different payment method (debit card, credit card, PayPal) for remaining transactions or wait for a week.
2. Please DO NOT buy more than 4 copies of a song/album with a credit card in one tracking week (Friday - Thursday). If you want to buy more, please use a different payment method (gift card, debit card, PayPal, etc) for the remaining transactions. This is because Billboard/Nielsen Soundscan filters sales as being "bulk" purchases if more than 4 copies are purchased by a payment method and none of the sales after the first 4 will be counted.
