Someone told me he enrolled as top of his class and took an oath.

The top student doesn’t usually come from the dance department yet Jimin did it. Students from other departments came to see him. I've seen these rumors before and I think during TCOMR, they mentioned he was the top student of the dance department. So which is correct?
