"I don't know K-pop, but I know about Jimin" has also become a thing among the general public worldwide. He is the Face of K-pop and as in his iHeart Radio's Jingle Ball introduction, he represents his team.
According to the American weekly magazine Time in 2016, Jimin was the No. 1 Most Talked About Musical Artist in the world on Twitter— elevating the status of K-pop within only three years since his debut. He was also the sole Asian artist from the team and was one of only two Asian artists who landed on the ranking.
