[News] BTS JIMIN talks about participating in the OST for the first time in the drama "Our Blues"

0

Japanese culture site Real Sound published an article highlighting Jimin's special talents in anticipation of him participating in an OST for the first time. Below is Jimin Global's translation of the article's words about Jimin's unique skills.

"There are three major points to note when discussing the appeal of Jimin's singing. From a light and transparent high tone that floats in the air, to a throbbing husky voice mixed with exhalation, to a powerful, pounding voice that almost grabs you by the chest... Jimin's voice changes freely in accordance with the music.

Despite the rather soothing tone of his original voice, the high notes are so strong that one might think that a woman was singing them. Nevertheless, the masculine rough texture of Jimin's voice gives it a unique feel. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Jimin's voice is so skillful that one can discover a new voice with each new song he releases. His dynamic, fist-filled voice, which can only be heard in a live performance, seems to be a crystallization of the moment.

The second is Jimin's power of expression. Jimin is not only a vocalist, but also an established dance performer, and his talent blossomed early on when he was the first student to be admitted to the Busan Arts High School's Modern Dance Department, and while still in school, he was selected as the first student in his year to receive a scholarship for a short-term study program in China.

He participated in all classes, including Korean dance, contemporary dance, and ballet, to broaden his range of expression. The expressive power he has cultivated in this way is sometimes passionate and dynamic, sometimes emotional and emotive. Jimin dances as he sings and sings as he dances. It is not just that he is a good singer, but it is as if you are watching a stage performance in which the story of the song is composed of singing and dancing.

And third, a stoicism that continues to grow. During "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - SEOUL" held on March 10, 12, and 13 this year, Jimin was supposed to be in a "sick state" so to speak, after being hospitalized for a new type of coronavirus infection and acute appendicitis. Despite this, the way he sang did not give the impression that he had just returned to the stage, but rather that he had evolved."
