
BTS Jimin has proven his unrivaled popularity by ascending to the K-pop throne in 2024.
Jimin won first place with a total of 408,559 votes or 50.87% in the "2024 King of K-Pop" vote by global fan voting site Shining Awards. Jimin has won first place for three consecutive years, following 2022 and 2023.
Shining Awards announced that the donation will be made to the World Donation Organizations in Jimin's name and he will receive a certificate of appreciation for the donation. The sincere support of global fans for Jimin has had a positive impact, making the result even more meaningful.
Meanwhile, Jimin's second solo album's title track "Who" took first place in King Choice's Hot 50 World Songs for December 2024 held from December 1 to December 31.
"Who" received 815,922 votes out of a total of 1,671,192 votes in this vote, taking first place for the second time. Jimin previously set an amazing record of 14 months (including 7 consecutive months) in first place with two songs, "Like Crazy" and "Set Me Free Pt. 2".
Also, after first ranking first on Hot 50 World Songs in June 2021 with the solo song "Filter" from BTS' fourth regular album, he continued to win first on Hot 50 World Songs in June and July 2022 with the tvN drama OST "With You."
With this, Jimin has won a total of 19 times with five songs on Hot 50 World Songs hosted by King Choice. He has firmly established himself as a global star whose popularity has not cooled down despite his military service, ranking first on Hot 50 World Songs for four consecutive years since 2021.
