BTS transformed into chefs for a day. Jimin, in particular, showcased his variety show sense and 'hard carried' the first episode of Season 3.
BTS challenged themselves to cook Italian cuisine in the first episode of Run BTS! Season 3, which was released on January 1st through the Naver V Live BTS channel.
Run BTS! is a self-produced reality variety show that BTS releases through the Naver V app. It has gained popularity by presenting various episodes of the seven members of BTS with a different theme in each episode. The Season 3 broadcast comes five months after the end of Season 2.
J-Hope began by saying, "It has been a while. BTS's status has changed a lot since then." Jimin asked, "How have you changed?" and J-Hope replied, "We've been to Billboard and even reached number one on the charts. It's no joke." Jin joked, "Congratulations. I'm jealous," making the members laugh.
On this day, the members learned Italian cuisine, which V had mentioned he wanted to learn. They were divided into three teams and challenged to make steak and pasta within an hour.
The members divided into teams and started cooking. The rapper line of RM, Suga, and J-Hope formed one team. The youngest, Jungkook, formed a team with the oldest, Jin. Jimin and V, members of 95z (born in 1995), shook hands as a team.
Chef Park Jun-woo appeared as the teacher to teach the members how to cook.
The first thing they had to make was meringue. Chef Park Jun-woo said, "You have to keep the eggs cold and slowly add sugar in three steps. You have to beat them until they don't flow when you flip them over." The production team explained the winning criteria as follows: "The team that quickly whips the meringue onto their head without it dripping wins." The members fired up their competitive spirit by whipping the meringue at a rapid pace as soon as the starting signal sounded.
The first team to pass was Team Suga, RM, and J-Hope. Team Jungkook and Jin also completed their mission. Jimin, overcome with competitive spirit, flipped the meringue on his head, causing everyone on set to burst into laughter. RM joked, "Jimin, your thumbnail is out!"
Jimin restyled his hair and appeared looking even more impressive. J-Hope praised Jimin's performance, saying, "I think this show will be a hit because of Jimin."
Afterwards, a game to select pasta noodles began. The team that guessed the number of grams of butter and got the closest approximation got to choose the pasta noodles. Team Jimin and V received 200 grams of butter. However, the margin of error was 74 grams. V had to lift 126 grams. V recorded 224g after a relentless knife fight.
Next up, Jungkook and Jin's team recorded a mere 8g error, eliciting cheers from the other members. The rapper team, on the other hand, recorded a 6g error, ultimately winning the championship. Jimin and V's team once again finished last. Jimin consoled himself, saying, "This is not about the ingredients. It is about taste, cleanliness, and decoration."
After concluding the game, Jin's team began making beef sirloin steak and cream pasta. Jimin responded, "I don't know why I'm so nervous, but I'll try my best," and tackled pork neck steak and Arrabiata pasta.
BTS's cooking challenge will continue on the 8th at 9 p.m.
