Park Jimin (박지민) was born on October 13, 1995 at Sewoong Hospital in Geumjeong District in Busan, South Korea. Jimin said that his name "Jimin" was given to him by his grandfather and it means "wisdom is higher than the sky."

Jimin was raised together with his younger brother by his mother and father in Geumsahoedong-dong in Geumjeong-gu, Busan. It is said that Jimin has a good relationship with his parents and sibling.
